Ayer mismo, domingo 9 de marzo de 2025, el secretario de la Rama Norteamericana de la Asociación Artúrica Internacional (IAS/SIA/IA), Jonathan S. Martin, comunicó la mala noticia de la pérdida irreparable del maestro Harvey Sharrer, hispanista único y experto fundador de los estudios iberoartúricos, al que muchos de nosotros conocimos en persona. He buscado el obituario en internet y os adjunto el documento que he encontrado. Falleció el pasado mes de septiembre, pero por la razón que fuere, no se difundió el hecho hasta ayer entre los colegas interesados en lo artúrico.
Yo, personalmente, siempre estaré agradecido a sus enseñanzas y a su amistad, que tantas veces me mostró, la última vez en el pasado congreso artúrico internacional de Würzburg de 2017, donde compartimos conversación y mesa. Aparte, siempre recordaré su apoyo por nuestro grupo de Clytiar, así como por estas Noticias de Clytiar que siguió con gran interés desde el principio. Gracias.

Just yesterday, Sunday, March 9, 2025, the secretary of the North American Branch of the International Arthurian Association (IAS/SAI), Jonathan S. Martin, communicated the bad news of the irreparable loss of the master Harvey Sharrer, unique Hispanist and founding expert of Ibero-Arthurian studies, whom many of us knew in person. I have searched for the obituary on the internet, and I have attached the document I have found. He passed away last September, but for whatever reason, the fact was not spread until yesterday among colleagues interested in Arthurian studies.
I, personally, will always be grateful to his teachings and his friendship, which he showed me so many times, most recently at the last international Arthurian congress in Würzburg in 2017, where we shared conversation at lunch time. Apart from that, I will always remember his support for our Clytiar Group, as well as for this Clytiarnews which he always followed with great interest from the very beginning. Thank you.
